Checked in about 3pm, 19 Jul 18, left about 4 pm. Room was up 2 to 3 flights of stairs. Stairs were narrow and steep. Room was adequate but on a hot afternoon one small window was inadequate ventilation. This was borderline unsafe for two pensioners. The free Wi-Fi was not available, not all the providers were accessible and none of the awkward passwords would for me. Sorry...

    Very good

Good value for money. Close to city centre if you love walking. Restaurants and shops are near.

Old building, needs refurbishing and maintenance

    Very good

    Quietness of location & breakfast.

Non smoking room smelt of smoke.

    Good

Great value for money, with clean room and good food.

If any faults I would only suggest a few more facilities i.e. SKY in the bar area

    Very good

It was very good value for money and the menu looked fantastic - we were gutted that we arrived late and had already eaten. The jacuzzi/steam experience was a really nice way to start the day, followed by a lovely breakfast.

I wasn't keen on the blankets on the beds - this felt quite old fashioned and didn't match the modern spa facilities. I also found this uncomfortable. The heating was on (mild May night) and we couldn't turn it down as the thermostat was broken. I think it should be clear that the 'steam room' is part of the jacuzzi and not a separate facility.

    Superb

within walking distance of city centre also very quiet and very clean very freindly staff

    Very good

Good value for money, staff were very helpful, restaurant menu has a wide choice and prices are very resonable. No problems parking right at the hotel. Room was very clean and had a loveley bathroom. Well stocked bar and very close to city. Best price around. Would recommend for a short stay.Would definately stay again.

Room i had was small but comfortable, ok for one night but would need a larger room for longer periods. The hotel was creaky, the landing outside my room was noisy when poeple walked passed which woke me up during the night, also the air con in the landing was noisy.Service for breakfast was a bit slow even though it was not busy,i had to miss it in the end after i didnt get served for 10 mins but was my own fault for not going early enough.I had "Seafood Linguine" for dinner for £11.95 in the restaurant which came in a very hot curry sauce which i didnt expect.Pasta in curry sauce is not a great combination, also the "seafood" consisted of a few small frozen prawns and mussles and some chopped up crabsticks! Expected better for price paid

    Good

My stay at the hotel was satisfactory.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and I did not like one particular member of staff who was not very proffessional when communicating with myself.

    Very good

Clean and well organised, attentive and helpful staff, good parking and convenient for the City Centre.

    Good

The food was good and the staff friendly and polite, the rooms were basic.

I was disappointed as the booking on line did not reflect the rooms that were available at the hotel when myself and family arrived at the hotel. The hotel did what they could to make up for this, but this was to be a special once in a life time occasion and I was let down by this.

    Very good

The serene environment, away from noisy "summer-moods" in Leicester downdown. Security is paramount, and it was ideal too.

Staff not "very warm" as indicated. Too formal.

    Good

It served its purpose- location wise as we could walk to the University of Leicester and was within walking distance of a particular restaurant to meet our friend. Its location on a quiet street off the main road with available car parking was a big plus. Also, they gave us what we requested - a quiet room and the double was at least medium sized.

The lighting within the hotlel was poor which made the hotel seem dingy and dark -trying to hide something? The door of our room stuck and was difficult to open. The fixtures and fittings were below average standard: no lights in the bedroom at a lower leve(eg. Table lamp)- only an overhead light which was not good for reading or relaxing. In fact there were light fixtures near the bed but the bulbs were missing! The shower looked promising but was difficult to use. The breakfast room was a bit depressing as well.

    Fabulous

The hotel is well located and affordable, staff were nice and sharp. We even kept our bags to attend to other things and they were kept safe.

The hotel does not have a cooling device it was hot and a little bit moist

The whole hotel is lookinjg very tired and in desperate need of re-decoration. There is a musty smell in most areas that I would recognise as carpeting needing deep cleaned. The breakfast was ok but it was obvious that the food purchased was low budget.

    Staff helpful.

Hotel decor is very dated. In my opinion needs total refurb to bring up to the required standard of a 2011 hotel. Broken toilet seat and ripped bedding due to age. Compared to a Premier Inn is an embarrassment in 2011.
